One of the great challenges in ecology is the interface between organismal and whole system dynamics. Working at the interface of organismal and ecosystems ecology is a challenge due to differences in perspective and methodology.  We strive to bridge that gap. From understanding the role of invasive earthworms and plants on amphibibians via effects on forest carbon and nutrient cycling, to using invasive plant traits to predict invader impacts on amphibians, to estimating the influence of amphibians and turtles on terrestrial and freshwater nutrient processes, our work combines a deep understanding of organismal ecology with an appreciation for ecosystem dynamics.
